Men's Retreat

March 27 - 29, 2009

Men, do you experience the impact of stress:

  • pushing, pulling & stretching us at times to near breaking point,
  • affecting our entire physiological beings; forming ulcers, elevating blood pressure,
  • bringing anger to the surface, dumping its bitter poison on family & friend relationships?

Do you relate to any of these sources of stress:

  • an economy that has robbed us of our livelihood, or our retirement,
  • wives who may challenge so much of what we say or want to do, squander financial resources,
  • children who are disrespectful or disobedient,
  • neighbors who are careless about yards, noise,
  • memories of scenes of war, parental rejection, personal failures,
  • addictions & other things we are afraid to mention?

What if God were allowed to take present stresses & transform them to glorious opportunities to experience His grace?

Come to this year's men's retreat and experience the peace of God, the overcoming power of the Holy Spirit and learn how to shift the burdens we cannot bear to God.

To Prepare

Get ready by praying for all that happens at the retreat. We look for God to meet with us in a special way. Pray for all those preparing to serve whether by teaching, sharing, singing, playing instruments, conducting workshops, washing dishes, cooking, or the myriad of other things it takes to run a retreat.

What to Bring

Bring your Bible, paper, pen, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, wash cloth, soap, toothbrush, comb (and all that kind of stuff), flashlight, casual clothing, a warm jacket, hat, etc. and a heart submissive to God.

Book Table

We will have quality books and DVD's that can be a real help to your Christian life. These will be available to purchase, many at a discount.

Work Crew Session

Each year the camp’s Ranger has an opportunity for us to show our appreciation through some form of service. If you are available, there will be time set aside on Saturday to shovel, split or move wood, rocks or help in some way.

Workshops and Fun

There will be time to relax, take a hike, engage in sports activities and have fun in workshops. Come and see which workshop interests you. If you wish to offer a workshop, please call or email us by March 20, at church@efreepullman.org.
